The government is urging Koreans to refrain from going to clubs, karaoke bars, and room salons.
According to a report by Newsis, Korea has seen an explosion of Coronavirus cases after a worker at an entertainment establishment in Gangnam tested positive for the virus.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Gangnam-gu district, a 36 yr old woman 'A', who works in a large entertainment establishment in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam was confirmed positive with Corona becoming the 44th confirmed person in the city. 'A' worked at a Gangnam nightlife establishment for about 9 hours from April 27-28 and its estimated at least 500 people including guests and employees visited the establishment the same day that she worked there.
'A' is believed to have been infected after coming into contact with a confirmed patient in Seocho-gu. 'A's roommate (33) has now been confirmed with Coronavirus.
Officials believe the group infections are due to the nature of entertainment establishments as customers and employees are frequently in close contact in closed spaces.
In the meantime, Supernova's Yoon Hak has also been confirmed with the Coronavirus and reportedly came into contact with a pr*stitute who also worked at a room salon in Gangnam.
