Amid widespread anger over the murder of George Floyd by a white police officer, a demonstration will be held in Seoul to remember him.
On the 4th, citizens were discussing on SNS to organize a George Floyd march on the afternoon of the 6th (KST) to march quietly from Seoul City Hall to the U.S Embassy in Seoul.
The proposer of the event Shim Ji-hoon (34) wrote, "We haven't held any of these types of demonstrations in Asia, including Korea. We want to commemorate Floyd who was killed because of racism and join forces with U.S protests. Citizens who want to participate can gather in front of Exit 5 of City Hall by 4pm on the 6th."
