Media are debating whether they'll be a change in BLACKPINK's outfits after their stylist's leave.
According to an exclusive report by Bridge Economy on the 26th, a music industry official revealed that "YG's stylist Director Ji-eun's leave was belatedly announced as she left the company on January 31st after 20 years with the agency." According to YG's executives, "Ji-Eun was a non-registered executive director and left the agency after arranging all of her YG shares."
Lee Ji-eun joined YG Entertainment in 2000 and has styled for YG artists Big Bang, WINNER, AKMU, 1TYME, Wheesung and BLACKPINK. In particular, she attracted attention worldwide for styling Big Bang's G Dragon and became a star stylist representing the Korean entertainment industry. In 2016, rumors of a romantic relationship with Kai drew attention.
Because of her departure, there is growing interest in BLACKPINK's fashion with their upcoming comeback on the 26th with 'How You Like That.'
In the poster released ahead of the announcement, the girls are seen with bohemian fashion, fur mix, see-throughs and knee high boots, that's quite different from their usual image.
When asked a YG official stated, "We cannot reveal the personnel information of our employees."
