British YouTuber found to have secretly filmed women on the streets of Itaewon and Hongdae

Police have arrested a British YouTuber A for secretly filming women on the streets. 

According to Cyber Security Bureau of the National Police Agency, A filmed videos of him sexually harassing and molesting women he met on the streets in various Asian countries including Seoul's Itaewon and Hongdae and Thailand's Bangkok and distributed the videos online.

While staying in Korea from August 9-18th in 2018, A talked to women passing by on the streets at major tourist attractions such as Itaewon and Hongdae and filmed videos. In addition, he invited a Korean woman to his house, filmed himself indecently assaulting her and posted it on his YouTube and website "Korean Women Are Easy." He sold the videos for $27 per person.

Police launched an investigation following media reports that A posted illegal photos of Korean women on overseas sites. However, A left for Thailand in 2018 and disappeared. He was arrested by local Danish police in November 2019, 10 months after Interpol's red search was issued. He was repatriated to Korea on March 31 and arrested. 

To prevent further damage, police shut down the site run by A and deleted all 198 GB of illegally filmed videos stored in A's SNS and cloud accounts.
