SM Entertainment has announced strong legal action against malicious post writers.
On the 2nd, SM posted a notice on its official website and various SNS accounts to make it known that the company will be taking strong legal action.
SM reportedly requested over 10 law firms including the best and largest law firms in Korea and those specialized in each field relating to illegal acts against its artists and plans to take strong civil and criminal legal action.
SM wrote, "Recently, malicious rumors, postings/comments, defamations and blasphemy posts have been indiscriminately been posted and distributed in online communities, social media and portal sites relating to our affiliated artists. As a result, we have requested stronger legal response."
SM warned, "Please be careful not to get involved in unpleasant things."
Earlier, SM revealed that false rumors and manipulated content is being circulated regarding trainee Yoo Ji-min who will make her debut as "Karina" on the 17th under SM's new girl group 'aespa.'
