MBC's 'News Desk' is reporting a strange incident involving a customer's order from a franchise store.
The informant spoke to MBC reporters and revealed that "he ordered late-night snacks around 10pm on the 25th of last month from a franchise "jokbal" restaurant where he frequently ordered food from, however, after the food arrived, as he turned over the pork feet to rub them in the sauce, a live rat scampered out."
When the informant complained to the store, the owner told him to return the order through a delivery driver. When the informant and delivery employees got angry, the owner promised to compensate the customer 1 million won for the dinner and hospital expenses. However, he rejected the proposal and demanded action from the head office who told the store owner to, "solve it within yourselves."
MBC reporters visited the store directly to report on the scene and a rat quickly passed by in the kitchen while the reporters were talking to an employee.
The informant and staff reported the matter to KFDA who conducted a field investigation on the 30th of last month and fined the store 500,000 won. The store is said to be managed by a well-known company.
In the meantime, netizens are in deep anger after the report asking "why they're not revealing the name of the store." The franchise's homepage has crashed after netizens visited the website in droves.
