YouTubers and BJs are causing chaotic scenes in front of Cho Doo Soon's home after his release.
On the 12th, rape criminal Cho Doo Soon left Seoul Southern Prison in Guro-gu, Seoul at 6:00am and was greeted by rage and protests as he was escorted by private car to his home in Ansan, Gyeonggi.
Around 100 people including police, reporters, citizens, YouTubers and BJ's gathered near Cho's home and some were heard shouting, "I wont let go" "Come out Cho Doo Soon" and "I'll kill you". Some were even stopped by police while trying to enter his home.
YouTuber A even grabbed a frying pan and tried to lock the gas pipe leading to Cho Doo Soon's house. Other YouTubers even fought each other. The scene was broadcast live on YouTube.
Netizens are criticizing them for "working hard trying to make money using Cho Doo Soon."
After some YouTubers announced plans to retaliate against Cho, police strengthened their patrols and placed about 10o people around the area. A security guard post has also been set up in the entrance to Cho Doo Soon and his wife's residence and 15 more CCTVs have also been installed by his residence. Cho Doo Soon will also wear his electronic anklet for 7 years and receive one-on-one monitoring 24 hours day from a dedicated probation officer.
In the meantime, information showing Cho's current face, his resident registration and actual residence address has been sent out through website 'sex offender notification e.'
