Idol dance trainer and Youtuber A shared a video on the 13th titled "same-sex couple culture used to make money in entertainment"
In the video, A revealed, "agencies force male idols to do "gay skinship" for 'alpes' content that's causing a stir in the media. When there are signs that fans are weaving their favs into 'OO' ship within the group, the agency recommends the idols do more of the "skinship" to take advantage of the situation."
He added, "Agencies instruct male idols to intentionally touch each other more when they go on stage or broadcast so that fans capture the moment and spread it on social media."
A then revealed katalk conversations with active idols in the video where one idol wrote, "there are many business gay couples. Fans connect, and idols (in response to this) deliberately do (skinship)."
A then revealed that agencies use 'alpes' to generate profits and internally refer to these activities as "begaper" (gay business performance) and "begacher" (gay business couple). In fact, a large agency even held a "fan pick contest."
Many of the male idols that are usually sexually targeted for 'alpes' content are uncomfortable with this but do it "because they're forced by the company for commercial purposes."
In the meantime, a petition has been posted on Blue House national petition site (Cheongwadae) asking to penalize RPS users who create sexual content with male idols who are minors. As of 4pm, on the 13th, the petition has been signed by 170,000 people.
