Donald Trump's Twitter account (@realDonaldTrump) has been permanently suspended after 12 years. This brought an end to Trump's 'Twitter Politics', where he used social media to raise conspiracy theories and incite ridicule about his political opponents and shake up the election board.
His account was permanently suspended by Twitter after criticism for inciting an insurrection at the Capitol through his supporters. To date, Trump had made over 57,000 posts and accumulated over 88 million followers.

UPDATE: Late Friday after Trump's @realdonaldtrump account was banned, he tried to post tweets through the official @POTUS account and his campaign's @TeamTrump account to which Twitter quickly deleted and suspended as well. Trump's campaign digital director @garycoby tried to give Trump his account to use but Twitter promptly suspended his account.
This is the first time ever a world leader has been banned on Twitter.
