Rape criminal Cho Do Soon has reportedly began receiving his 1.2 million won allowance. 

According to officials, Cho Doo Soon passed the welfare qualification screening for basic livelihood benefits at end of last month and received benefits for December and January at the end of last month. 

Cho Doo Soon and his wife will receive a monthly allowance of 1.2 million (~$1,100/month) that includes basic living wage of 620,000 won and housing benefit of 260,000 won. 

In the meantime, petition posted asking the government to deny Cho Do Soon's allowance benefit has has been signed by over 64,000 people so far.
