Top Korean actress A has reportedly been abandoned in France by her husband and daughter.
On the 5th, a petition was posted on Cheong Wa Dae bulletin board titled, "Please save movie star Yoon** who is suffering outside."
The petitioner wrote, "Yoon is separated from her husband and is not being cared by her spouse. She's suffering from Alzheimers and diabetes alone in an apartment outside Paris. She has a daughter nearby but due to daughter's busy schedule with work and family life she cannot properly take care of her mother. She has been neglected by her immediate family, husband and daughter. She's struggling with her illness alone and can't go out. She's living like she's in prison."
"Yoon's brothers asked their daughters to call and visit freely but they set the frequency and time to see her as if they visiting a prisoner in a prison. Her personal freedom has seriously been violated."
Regarding her husband, the petitioner stated, "It's been two years since he's seen his wife. He said he couldn't do it anymore and entrusted his wife's care to her brothers. Afterwards, he appeared in Seoul and voluntarily gave interviews to the media and said his wife has dementia and talked about her like she was dying, unconscious or going senile."
The petitioner appealed writing, "Yoon has been living in Paris for a long time but she loves Korea and Korean films and has not given up on her Korean nationality. She wishes to spend the rest of her life comfortably in Korea but she has been abandoned and deprived of even her basic human rights."
Netizens shared reactions writing, "Who is the top star actress??? She seems to be in a precarious situation." Others responded cautiously writing, "No one knows the family history. We need to check whether this is true."
