Son Jung-min's friend A's family made an appearance on SBS 'Unanswered Questions.'

The episode of 'I Want To Know That' that aired on the 29th dealt with the death of Son Jung-min and at the end of the broadcast, the production team released an interview with A's family saying "they had a hard time meeting up with Jung-min's family."

Asked why the family is silent as the incident keeps growing, A's father stated, "Jung-min's parents lost their child. How can we not understand the heart of a parent that lost a child. So whether we're angry or not, we decided to stay still. It's better if we cooperate with investigations as much as possible and see how it turns out. Even if there are many misunderstandings everyone told us to just stay quiet."

He added, "Jung-min and my son were close friends. How can the person next to you live without pain when your friend turned out like that? I hope investigations will be successful to clear up rumors."

Asked if he had any high-ranking officials among his relatives, he stated "not at all. I don't understand where it came from at all.

Their lawyer also appeared and stated, "There are misunderstanding that A's is remembering things selectively in his favor. But if you look at it, most of the time the things he's remembering aren't actually in his favor at all. A called his father and told him "It's hard because I'm drunk". His father told him, "Wake Jung-min up and come home immediately." At 4:51 am on the 25th, A got home and his mother found Jung-min's cell phone on her son's clothes and asked him, "did your friend get in safely?" but he was unable to reply properly. After that, A and his mother went to Han River to check if Jung-min is still asleep but couldn't find him. That's when they contacted Jung-min's family."

As to why A's parents threw his shoes away, the lawyer stated, "the shoes are white and the soles were worn out. There was also a lot of vomit on them so his mom asked if he can throw them away and A said "do whatever you want." We didn't expect a huge situation to happen."

  1. [+8607, -2019] Looks like SBS decided on the direction they wanted this broadcast to take. It's natural to want to call and check but does it make sense that he was blacked out for 8 hours? Also, his parents were aware he grabbed his phone but drove out to Han River at dawn? How are we supposed to only believe in A's statements? No one is trying to charge him with intentional murder or a planned crime but his behavior is what brought all these suspicions out...
  2. [+6666, -1604] How are we supposed to believe A's statements are unconditionally true? It's a pity that Jung-min is not alive to share his side and the alleged "blackout". Also, the explanations why the whole family thought to go to Han River at dawn still doesn't make any sense so of course suspicions are going to continue...the fact that this incident has become a national issue just shows the public's distrust of the police. It's a shame that SBS took this position and made a broadcast like that...I won't be watching this show anymore.
  3. [+3006, -242] It's a pity that Seocho police aren't working hard to investigate this case. YouTubers revealed CCTV of A getting in and out of taxis with his parents. If police would've investigated that they would've already been on the tail of the case by now.... Wow ㅜㅜ
  4. [+1498, -297] I'm still not understanding A and his parents behavior that night. If I thought my close friend that I went drinking with is dead would I just leave..? And get a lawyer right away??? Then at dawn come out with my parents looking for the friend that I abandoned...? How does that make sense. Also, the data usage and phone number change right after are all really strange..
  5. [+1281, -190] Ah...yes, I felt so sorry for Jung-min's family that's why I hired a lawyer right away and thought to do the broadcast now ~~ I see it now^^
  6. [+894, -94] What kind of parents are worried for their son's friend's family and think to go to Han River at dawn?? Am I the only one that thinks its weird? Their behavior that night was strange from the start..
  7. [+160, -11] So he's just going to gloss over the suspicious cell phone change, shoes and clothes..?
