Former YG trainee Han Seo-hee has been charged for drug use.
According to a media outlet on the 9th, the Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office indicted Han Seo-hee without detention for violating the Narcotics Management Act.
In July last year, Han Seo-hee was detained at the probation center and released after testing positive for psychotropic drugs like meth and amphetamines in a surprise urine test. Prosecutors took steps to cancel Han Seo-hee probation but Han Seo-hee claimed a urine test error and hair test came back negative.
However, its reported the prosecution conducted an investigation into Han Seo-hee and eventually charged her for drug use while on probation.
Han Seo-hee was previously sentenced to 3 years in prison and 4 years probation for purchasing 90g of marijuana 4 times from July-December 2016 and smoking 7 times at her home in Jung-gu, Seoul.
Last year, Han Seo-hee became a hot topic after she filed a whistleblower report stating that former iKON member B.I was under investigation on drug charges but police did not properly investigate the case after receiving threats from YG Entertainment (Yang Hyun Suk).
The trial result is drawing attention as her first trial is scheduled for this afternoon.
