Le Sserafim is HYBE's new girl group that is being launched in collaboration with Source Music however their latest teasers are causing controversy.
Netizens are criticizing the outfits and concept as "too much" due to excessive exposure. Furthermore, the anachronistic outfits that include matching high heels with tennis clothes are a problem because no one plays tennis in high heels.
In teasers, the "sexiness" of tennis is emphasized more than its "sportiness" highlighting and distorting the sexual aspects, which is far from the job itself or original function. As a result, allegations of "sexual objectification" of the sport are pouring out especially because members are underage.
Meanwhile, member Kim Garam is currently embroiled in allegations of school violence, assaults and lewd pictures after her past photos were leaked in online communities.
HYBE and Source Music have denied allegations calling them "groundless" and stated that the photos were "maliciously edited" for a "malicious conspiracy" and that Kim Garam is the "victim."
