Dispatch has revealed more details about husband B (30s) who attempted to murder his wife.
At midnight on the 14th, an actress A (40s) called police to report her husband B's domestic violence. Police arrived to the scene but did not discover any physical violence. They issued a restraining order for B and A changed her door password.
An hour later, A called police again and reported B attempted to break into her house through veranda. In addition, B had threatened suicide after calling A saying, "he was going to make an extreme choice."
Police finally went looking for B and at around 2:00am, found B on the floor bleeding from his leg after he had attempted self-harm. They escorted him to the hospital and B later returned to his hometown after concluding treatments at 6:00am.
However, B's stalking did not end there. He headed to A's Itaewon house at around 8:45am with a knife and aimed for an opening when the kids would be going to school.
Later, police received reports and rushed to the scene where they arrested B who had stabbed his wife A in the neck. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but fortunately her injuries were not life threatening.
After investigating B, Seoul Yong-san police issued an arrest warrant for attempted murder at 9pm that day. The two had separated. B committed the crime after purchasing the knife the morning of the crime.
To attend summons, B rented a private ambulance and appeared at the Seoul Western District Court in a wheel chair. He arrived at 10:30am on the 16th for interrogations that lasted for about an hour. Results are due in the afternoon.
- [+1,813, -24] So even if a crime was expected, police couldn't arrest him but just waited until it happened?
- [+843, -53] No matter how hard you try to shield them, they're police officers. Strip them of all of their investigative powers and give them to errand centers.
- [+ 740, -16] Police are seriously trash ~~ So they went there 3 times after she reported his threats but because there was no physical harm they just went back? So they waited until he attempted murder to arrest him?
- [+491, -39] We're better off strengthening public power first than just leaving the rights of investigative powers to police. What does it matter if it's police or prosecution? The incompetent leftists are afraid of prosecutors so they gave police all the investigative authority they shouldn't have in the first place.
- [+399, -10] So because there was no direct damage they took zero action? No one is asking to punish him, but if the victim feels threatened, isn't it clear the husband was a potential perpetrator? Shouldn't he have been under police custody? Restrained? Or more precautions taken that day?
- [+155, -1] Wow... so he aimed for that time in the morning when his daughter was going to school after causing a commotion 3 times and wielded a knife in front of his kids? Aigoo, he better not make lame excuses like he was "drunk" and made a "mistake." Make sure to hit him with harsh punishments for intentional murder!
- [+154, -5] "Just report it police.." "why are you reporting it to us?" Feels like this? So five or six staff one after another let it get to this ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ. Isn't this grounds for a lawsuit?
- [+129, -1] In front of the kids.. in the morning, on the way to school.. omg
- [+79, -0] If your not going to put out his real name, don't even write the article. Why should we be subjected to dog fights between a couple living sh** lives.
- [+40, -1] But he tried to break-in into her home, how is that no direct damage? Seriously, why aren't we changing our laws?
- [+36, -1] If he gets a short sentence, he's definitely going to come out and kill her eventually. Please, do something about it!
- [+30, -4] If you've ever dealt with our police, you know right away there's nothing they can do. Don't trust police!
