Attention is being focused on former EXO Kris (Wu Yi Fan) following prison sentence and deportation.
On the 25th, the Chaoyang District People's Court in Beijing, China sentenced the idol to 13 years in prison and deportation in the first trial for charges of sexual assault of a minor. He was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison as well as 1 year and 10 months in prison for lewd r*pe of multiple people (orgy).
Kris, a Canadian national, will be deported back to his home country Canada after serving 13 years in a Chinese prison and speculations are emerging whether he'll also be subject to chemical castration.
In Canada, sex offenders are subjected to chemical castration to forcibly suppress sexual desire. The Correctional Service of Canada administers family and group counseling and cognitive therapy while injecting drugs and hormones to sex offenders determined to undergo chemical castration.
Meanwhile, Kris made his debut with EXO in 2012 and filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment in 2014 to confirm the non-existence of his exclusive contract and withdrew from the group. He has since been working as an singer and actor in China and was found to have called underage girls to his home late at night for "auditions" and "fan meetings" in 2020 to drink and have sex. Last year, he was arrested by police and subsequently exiled from the entertainment industry.
