Former Big Bang's Seungri has been released from prison.
On the 9th, JTBC reported that an official from the Ministry of Justice confirmed, "Seungri, former Big Bang member, was released from Yeoju prison this morning."
According to the report, it was originally known that Seungri would be released on the 11th but it has been confirmed that he was released from prison on the morning of the same day.
In May last year, Seungri filed an appeal following initial court's ruling, and was also found guilty by the Supreme Court of all 9 'Burning Sun' charges to include mediating prostitution, business embezzlement, embezzlements under Special Police Act, destroying evidence, illegal filming, special assaults, and violations of the Food Sanitation Act and sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.
After Supreme Court's sentence, he was transferred from military prison to civilian prison to serve the remainder of his sentence and released today (9th).
