GD's name "removed" in leaked financial reports after exclusive contract expires + YG stocks plummet

YG stocks are plummeting following reports of G-Dragon's contract expiration.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 7th, YG Entertainment stocks closed at 84,600 won, down 7.14% from the previous trading day. YG's share price continued to decline and was trading in the 87,000 range during pre-market. 

YG Entertainment recorded an earnings surprise in the first quarter that sent their share price soaring 17.09% on the 12th of last month. On the 31st of last month, it recorded a 52-week high of 97,000 won in the intraday. In particular, following the end of Covid19 this year, earnings growth expectations continued as concerts resumed and overseas market entry accelerated.

However, analysts believe YG's share price is plummeting due to concerns about its performance arose when news of their exclusive contract with G-Dragon, a major artist, had expired. GD's name was also missing from YG's roster of singers in the 1st quarter quarterly report that was uploaded to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 15th of last month.

YG stated on the 5th, "As of now, the exclusive contract with G-Dragon has expired."
