Former U.S President Donald Trump has become the first president with a mugshot. 

On the 24th, Trump surrendered to Atlanta police on charges of attempting to overturn the '2020 presidential election' results. According to CNN, Reuters, etc., Trump who appeared at the Georgia prosecutor's office was imprisoned in a detention center for about 20 minutes and then released after paying a pre-agreed bail of $200,000 (about 270 million won). His inmate number is ' P01135809 '.

Fulton County authorities also took his mugshot. He was photographed wearing a navy blue suit and red tie. In the mugshot, he's seen with eyebrows furrowed and 'angry' eyes raised towards the camera. 

Two sources close to Trump told CNN, "the mugshot was strategically orchestrated. The former president ultimately decided he wanted to appear defiant in his mugshot and opted not to smile."

This is the first ever former U.S President to have his mugshot taken. CNN stated, "This is an image that will go down in history." 

After Trump's Twitter ban on Jan 6, 2021 after breach of U.S Congress, Trump returned to SNS and posted his mugshot with the words, "ELECTION INTERFERENCE. NEVER SURRENDER!"

Reuters predicted that the former President will circulate the mugshot among his supporters and use it for fundraising efforts through sale of merch.
