EXO D.O (Do Kyungsoo)'s "indoor smoking" controversy is continuing to grow.
After a video from MBC 'Music Core' waiting room revealed alleged "smoke" from D.O's nose, the scene caused controversy. Netizens speculated that D.O was smoking indoors however some are claiming that the alleged "smoke" is merely his "exhaled breath."
In an article posted in an online community, the author has revealed that EXO D.O was investigated by Mapo-gu officials as a result of "a complaint he filed about his indoor smoking incident in August."
EXO D.O and agency (SM) clarified to Mapo-gu officials, "the smoke was from a nicotine-free e-cigarette." However, officials are not able to verify their "nicotine free" claims upon investigation of product ingredient description and guide.
Officials have decided to impose a penalty for violating non-smoking health code. Per regulation, such incidents are subject to a fine of up to 100,000 won.
