Jung Joon Young and Choi Jonghun have received reduced sentences in court after appeal.
On the afternoon of the 12th, the Seoul's High Court held a hearing for five people including Jung Joon Young and former F.T Island member Choi Jonghun on charges of sexual assault. The court sentenced Jung Joon Young to five years in prison and Choi Jonghun received two years and six months in prison. In the first trial, Jung Joon Young and Choi Jonghun received 6 and 5 years in prison, respectively.
Girls' Generation member Yuri's brother 'Kwon' was sentenced to four years and the other tokbang members Kim and Heo was sentenced to four years in prison and two years probation, respectively.
The five members of Jung Joon Young's tokbang were accused of sexual assault and gang rape of several women in Daegu in March 2016 and Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon in January 2016. Jung Joon Young was also accused of illegal filming many women several times in 2015 and sharing the videos on his group katalk chat where several celebrities were members.
The sentencing was originally scheduled for the 7th but was postponed by the court because Jung Joon Young and Choi Jonghun reportedly come to an agreement with the gang rape victims.
In the meantime, witnesses revealed that Jung Joon Young and Choi Jonghun stared at the floor throughout the sentencing and were heard sighing multiple times.
