Former IZ*ONE's Kim Chaewon will debut under HYBE's new girl group.
According to an exclusive report by STAR News on the 17th, Kim Chaewon signed an exclusive contract with the agency and will be active under HYBE Labels. Chaewon was previously under Woollim Entertainment but confirmed to have signed with an agreement at the end of June.
HYBE's new girl group will consist of 5 members with 2 or 3 members expected to be former IZ*ONE members and 'Produce 48' contestants that didn't make it into the group.
HYBE is also in discussions to recruit Japanese member Sakura for their new girl group however there are difficulties coming to an agreement as she's more interested in acting than singing.
Meanwhile, this will be HYBE's only girl group after disbanding GFriend earlier this year.
