Actress Kim Sae-ron is showing deep reflection over her drunk driving accident.
On the 8th, Kim Sae-ron attended her first trial on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act at the Seoul Central District Court and stated, "I'm deeply reflecting and regretting. I will not commit such a crime ever again. Since the incident, I'm staying away from alcohol and disposed of the car."
She added, "I'm really suffering living in hardships as the head of the family and the breadwinner. All I'm asking for is leniency."
However, the prosecution stated, "Kim Sae-ron's blood alcohol level was at a very high level." Fellow passenger A was also asked to pay 5 million won for aiding and abetting drunk driving.
After the trial, Kim Sae-ron repeatedly pleaded, "I'm sorry" to reporters and even showed tears. When asked "how she's doing" she stated, "I have a part-time job." However, she was reluctant to comment on her comeback plans and just reiterated, "I'm sorry."
Meanwhile, Kim Sae-ron stopped all activities after drunk driving accident where she hit a transformer and caused a blackout in surrounding areas and businesses. Her exclusive contract with her agency was also terminated. Later, an eyewitness alleged in testimony that Kim Sae-ron was a part-timer at a cafe.
