Police have secured additional 'drug' evidence during a raid of Yoo Ah-in's homes.
On the 7th, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Drug Crime Investigation Unit executed a search and seizure at two locations from 10:00am and ended at 4.20pm. Police raided Yoo Ah-in's officetel in Hannam-dong in the morning and his resident registration address in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu in the afternoon.
Police secured additional evidence through the raid that day but did not disclose the specific seized items. They plan to summon Yoo Ah-in as a suspect soon after analysis of the evidence is complete, within this month at the earliest.
A police official revealed, "We executed search and seizure warrants for two places however we cannot reveal details of the confiscated goods as they're currently under investigation."
Meanwhile, Yoo Ah-in is banned from leaving the country after his urine and hair tests came back positive for marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, and propofol. Police also secured records of ketamine prescriptions through search and seizure of a Gangnam hospital. A digital forensic investigation of his two cell phones has also been requested by police.
- [+1,456, -27] But how long has it been already since his drug test results came back positive? They're just now doing the search and seizure? He has 100% destroyed all the evidence by now.. this is quite disappointing.
- [+698, -7] ㅎㅎㅎdoing this now ㅋㅋ. He's already had enough time to clean and hide all the evidenceㅋ
- [+533, -48] What's the point of doing this now? He's already had time to hide all the evidence and throw away his cell phone. What's left to confiscate..?
- [+254, -11] But isn't the rule of thumb to throw him in jail during investigations? ...especially seeing as his hair tests came back positive for everything..?
- [+172, -12] They must've found something weird if they're shutting their mouths like this..
- [+82, -9] Why is everyone focusing so much on Yoo Ah-in? One news article is enough. Day after day, so many articles are getting put out.. the investigation itself, the search and seizure, summons, everything is going at a snails pace. At this rate, even if there's evidence, you gave him all the time he needs to get rid of it.
- [+48, -3] This is like giving a murderer enough time to chop up the corpse and bury it deep in the mountains..
- [+42, -3] Makes you wonder what his biggest struggle is now.. the public scrutiny or not being able to abuse drugs or propofol anymore.
- [+29, -3] Looks like they've been pressured alreadyㅋㅋㅋ. Investigating him without detention??? If this was a normal person, he would've been tried and found guilty in that timeㅋㅋ
- [+27, -1] They gave him over 10 days to clean up the evidence.. what is left to find ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- [+9, -1] He won't be arrested for investigations even after confiscating more evidence? What's even left anymore? He uses an iPhone, what kind of forensics can you do? Nothing is going to come off this.
- [+7, -2] He already flushed everything down the toilet ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
