There are new claims that a private forensic (digital evidence extraction) operator who restored the contents of singer Jung Joon Young's mobile phone 'Golden Phone' illegally received a reward from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.

Attorney Kim So-yeon, former chairman of the People's Power Daejeon Yuseong Party Committee cited details of the reward payment submitted by the Office of Representative Yoo Sang-beom of the Civil Rights Commission at a press conference at the National Assembly on the 23rd.

Attorney Kim is alleging A illegally provided Jung Joon-young's phone recovery data to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. He stated, "The Burning Sun case had already been disclosed through the media. A's public informant report was merely a formality. Chairman Jeon Hyun-hee designated A as a public interest informant after reviewing the report in an unusually short time and took protective measures. He designated the person who provided illegal data as a public interest whistleblower."

Attorney Kim added, "A received a reward as a public interest informant after planning with Rights Commission Chairman Jeon Hyun-hee. We will be filing a lawsuit with the prosecution against the former Chairman."

Meanwhile, Jung Joon Young is currently in prison on gang r*pe and assault charges.

  1. [+3,425, -257] Jung Joon Young gang r*ped women by spiking alcohol with drugs. The informant received a reward because he gave Katalk evidence. How is Jung Joon Young being unfairly punished for gang r*pes?? If the informant didn't expose the Katalk contents, Jung Joon Young would've never been thrown in prison!
  2. [+2,182, -218] Burning Sun needs to be re-investigated! It's a drug case with Jeolla-do police and thugs are at the center.. he shouldn't be the only one being punished.
  3. [+1,175, -100] Since it was first leaked by media and not the public informant report, it was the perfect place to bury the Burning Sun rumors during the Moon disaster of a regime. We still don't know who that VIP at Burning Sun was ㅋㅋㅋ..
  4. [+1,026, -10] Burning Sun, Blue House officials, and Seungri.. we seriously need to re-investigate that huge 'gate' they covered up so hastily.. it's an important case that would really dig out and expose the entire drug ring enterprise from suppliers, distributors, and those injecting drugs!
  5. [+562, -280] Happenings during Moon Jae-in era..
  6. [+510, -21] This was tens of thousands more damaging that the Park Geun-hye and Choi Soon-sil things they kept putting out.. the adjutant-in-charge deserves death for this!
  7. [+117, -1] To claim it's the 'twist' of the century yet the charges remain the same..
  8. [+97, -0] There are too many unknowns about how deeply the Inspector Yoon Gyu-geun, who was dispatched to the Blue House at the time was truly involved in the Burning Sun scandal. Especially seeing the extent of how an idol like Seungri was blatantly showing off his friendship with him while he was wearing his police uniform and posting pictures together on SNS calling him his 'police chief'. Everyone in the 'know' knows..
  9. [+79, -0] Hmm.. I'm honestly scared of the media. They're at the center of why the entire case got buried. I'm not claiming they don't do a good job here and there but I'm just angry they lost the plot and the most important point in the actual case and became the catalyst for the entire thing getting covered up..
  10. [+60, -2] What 'twist'? A crime is a crime!
  11. [+52, -1] Jung Joon Young was a dirty trash ba$tard, he totally deserved all the hits he took from Burning Sun scandal
  12. [+29, -1] A case where the dirty police chief cut the tail and only Jung Joon-young took the hits and got punished ㅋㅋㅋ
  13. [+23, -2] It's seriously scary the power they have over our country. Why does it feel like they're trying to prevent public interest informants from coming forward in the future?
