BTS Jin's hyung (older brother) is under controversy for preferential treatment.
On the 19th, Kim Seok-joong wrote a lengthy message and stated, "I think I created a controversy at a concert that should've been an enjoyable fun time. After understanding the situation, I wanted to convey my position so there is no further secondary damage."
"First off, the ticket that many people are curious about is not an invite-only ticket purchased in advance from a specific company or organization. Rumors that I bought the tickets illegally or obtained them in an expedient way are not true. I received a transferable invitation issued by Hyundai Card from an acquaintance who could not attend due to circumstances. The invite states that a total of two people (the invited person and one accompanying person) are allowed to enter the venue. If the invited member is unable to attend, a total of two people may attend as proxy, provided the person who received the ticket transferred it. I sincerely apologize to those who have suffered secondary damage because I did not think about the part that could cause a problem."
On the 17th and 18th, Bruno Mars held his 'Hyundai Card Super Concert' at the Olympic Main Stadium in Jamsil Sports Complex, Seoul. Over 100,000 spectators were in attendance to include top celebrities and idols i.e., BTS RM and V, Blackpink Jennie and Rosé, G-Dragon, Song Hye-kyo, Han Ga-in, and Yeon Jung-hoon couple, Sunmi, and Park Jin-young.
However, controversy over preferential treatment is pouring out after it became known that too many invitation tickets were issued to celebrities, all of whom occupied front seats.
Among them was BTS Jin's hyung who had leaked his certified invite to the event raising suspicions of illegal distribution of an invite sent to a celebrity's family.
- [+3,603, -276] How cute.. we've even seen a case where a grown-up adult was caught living in the Blue House as a family member to evade taxes..
- [+1,418, -138] Someone is always upset about something..
- [+1,082, -48] Isn't Hyundai Card at the core of the issue since they issued out too many invites??!
- [+590, -95] Eh.. preferential treatments were prevalent in Moon regime too, world-renowned artists have survived purely on welfare checks.
- [+372, -45] They're nitpicking anything now ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- [+272, -10] More like BTS Jin who used his Hyundai Black Card since he's VIP level. The annual fee alone is more than an ordinary office worker salary so it's not shocking that they would've offered invite tickets to the event as a benefit? It's not like he could attend anyway since he's in the military so he probably transferred the ticket to his family in accordance with terms and conditions.. what's wrong with that?
- [+153, -6] Well, Jin is in the army so he can't take his vacation to see a Bruno Mars concert. I think he handed it over to his brother and sister so why is everyone tripping over that? Everyone knows Jin has a Hyundai Black Card. Anyone that uses a credit card knows there are certain benefits you get too. Are we going to live our lives nitpicking what others are doing? Reporters are trying to cause controversy nitpicking over trivial things to find fault with BTS members because they're a hot topic. Do they have nothing else to write?? Let's not touch the family.
- [+123, -5] Always digging for equality in everything. No.. is this the national exam??! Are people not allowed to get invites to things through an official or connections?
- [+62, -1] Eh? So what he got preferential treatment? This isn't a national exam or a preferential tax ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ it's a private company event, what's wrong with receiving preferential treatment??!
- [+44, -2] BTS V arrived late during the opening but still dragged himself confidently to the first row ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ his hyung must've been pissed. Jennie arrived late too.. where are their articles on the inconvenience.
