Former YG trainee Han Seo-hee is tired of long legal battle over alleged "death" threats.
On the 25th, the Seoul High Court (presiding Judge Lee Eui-young, Won Jong-chan, and Park Won-cheol) held a trial for Yang Hyun Suk who was charged with threatening to retaliate against a witness under Aggravated Punishment Act for Specific Crimes. On that day, Han Seo-hee appeared as a witness and stated, "Since 6 years ago, I've lived a life between that of a public figure and a civilian because I used to be a trainee. I've struggled with the attention and criticism from the public. This 4-year trial has felt like hitting a rock with an egg. I'm so tired now. I just want to end the fight."
She then breaks down in tears in court and states, "I don't want Yang Hyun Suk punished anymore. I just want a sincere apology. I don't want to hate anyone anymore. I came today because I don't want to disrupt the trial process. If I got a genuine apology I don't think I would've come out today."
Still, when Han Seo-hee was arrested on drug charges in August 2016 and testified that iKON B.I (Kim Hanbin) "purchased drugs", Yang Hyun Suk called her into his 7th floor office in the YG building and stated, "My son is going to the police station. I don't like that. Killing you is nothing." Han Seo-hee didn't change her claims then that she was forced to reverse her statements.
When Yang's lawyer asked, "have you been in contact with other YG singers and smoked drugs even after feeling threatened and scared?," Han Seo-hee protested, "Isn't this coercing a victim?"
When asked if she made a 'deal' after being promised money in return for reversing her statements to police, she replied, "Wasn't Yang Hyun Suk the one that made the deal? If I truly received money, I wouldn't have gone public with a whistleblower report."

- [+15, -2] The only way rich chaebols will get thrown in prison is if we overhaul our judicial system. When lawyers, prosecutors, judges team up, the victim turns into the perpetrator. This is the reality. We need to pick our president and members of the National Assembly well. I hope more good people run as independents so that we can reform party politics. The electoral system as it is is not a system of true democracy.
