X1 will be disbanding.
Mnet released a joint statement on the 6th announcing the disbandment stating, "Hello. This is Play M Entertainment, Yuehua Entertainment, T.O.P. Media, OUI Entertainment, MBK Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, DSP Media, Starship Entertainment and Brand New Music. After negotiation between X1 members and their companies under the condition of unanimous agreement, an agreement was not reached and have thus decided on their disbandment."
X1 has been under controversy due to vote manipulation in the 'Produce X 101'. Mnet's parent company CJENM had previously released an official apology and confirmed that both X1 and IZ*ONE would be resuming activities.
