President Trump stated at a Colorado rally on the 20th, "How bad was this year's Academy Awards? What on earth was that? We have a lot of problems with trade in Korea and they award them best film award to Parasite? There are good movies like "Gone with the Wind", "Sunset Boulevard", too many movies, yet the winning film was Korean. I thought it was just a foreign language film award. The Academy should've chosen an American film instead of "Parasite."

He added, "We signed a new trade agreement with South Korea in 2018. Korea needs to pay the U.S more for its presence in the Korean Peninsula."
