Shincheon-ji President Lee Man-hee has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus.
A source from the group stated on the 29th, "The chairman was diagnosed with the Corona 19 yesterday. The test was conducted at his home. Given that the results are usually released the day after the test, we may have the official results today, " he added.
According to the official, Lee Man hee has been under self-quarantine in Gyeonggi area.
He also asked for people not to blame the Shincheon-ji for mass spreading the Coronavirus adding, "We are working with the local governments to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. We sincerely apologize for the outbreak infections caused by some of our members."
In the meantime, the Shincheon-ji Church is currently under fire for falsifying member lists and trying to hide members who are allegedly infected with the Coronavirus. Local government officials have filed an official complaint against the Church.
