TOO's Cha Woong-gi is embroiled in allegations that he was a school bully [iljin].

On the 16th, a netizen A posted an article on an online community titled "I'm a victim of TOO Cha Woonggi's school violence" The netizen stated, "I can't stand seeing Woong-gi being put on a pedestal. Honestly, doesn't it bother your conscience? Didn't you ruin other people's lives? Did you think the past would be forgotten if you became a celebrity?"

A claimed that victims had developed a hyper inflammatory disease and social anxiety writing, "you wouldn't idolize someone like him if you knew what he did to them."

A then revealed that Woong-gi and his friends had continually verbally abused victims, bullied them, said insults about their parents and bullied them on SNS to the point they developed social anxiety. Another victim reportedly wrote a report to the school's mentor department requesting the school violence committee to look into the allegations but the request was denied.

A revealed "we're collecting evidence such as report and confirmation that victim underwent psychiatric treatment. We are also gathering further examples of harm from his bullying."

His agency Stone Entertainment has denied the allegations calling them "groundless."

In the meantime, on the 15th, Cha Woong-gi became a "role model idol" after his comments in katalk chat with 20 students from Konkuk university became a hot topic. Cha Woong-gi told students that wanted to have a drinking party that they were in violating rules banning gatherings over 5 people.

Woong-gi wrote in the chat, "This is a group chat for the 21st class, but there appears to be excessive words and actions that are crossing the line. No matter how you look at it, it doesn’t seem like gathering 20 people at Konkuk gates to go out drinking is something to brag about.” In response, his classmates wrote back, “Just let it pass,” “So what are you trying to say?”, “Aren’t you just telling us to stay cooped up at home?”, and “It’s not like he’s going to come. Let’s just gather together and hang out.”

Woong-gi retorted, “I have said all I wanted to say. There’s a reason they’re telling us not to gather more than five people so it’s not right to suggest things like going drinking and meeting up together.”

Meanwhile, Cha Woong-gi made his debut with SBS' "King and I" in 2007 and member of group TOO through Mnet's "World Klass" in 2019.

  1. [+681, -4] This is my first time seeing someone fall out of grace so quickly ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
  2. [+546, -17] I honestly wasn't convinced he was some role model after his comments in the group chat. He just got lucky they became public.
  3. [+357, -10] Even if he didn't directly bully the victims but indirectly he's still a school bully
  4. [+219, -0] Things turned out this way because Woongi hit the lotto and became popular overnight over his comments. But his victims seeing him getting praise with his noise marketing decided to bring awareness to his gangster ways. That's why more victims are popping upㅋ
  5. [+120, -0] Hul~This is the firs time over 7 victims have come forward..
  6. [+107, -1] Seriously how embarrassing is that. If he would've kept quiet, his gangster personality controversy wouldn't have come out and he could've kept pretending to be some role model. But he came out with those comments and now even his group members are getting rolled up in his controversy...so disgusting seriously
  7. [+74, -0] I think there were some calculations that went on when he posted those comments on the group katalks ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
