Wanna One's Lai Guanlin has filed for contract terminations from his agency.
An official from Guanlin's side spoke to SPOTV News on the 20th and stated, "Lai Guan Lin sent a letter to Cube Entertainment for proof of contract nullification and he's currently continuing activities on his own."
An official from Cube Entertainment spoke to the media on the same day and said, "It's true that we received a letter from Guan Lin's side. We will reveal our official position later on."
This news is particularly shocking as the singer recently posted photos on SNS and it seemed like he was possibly recording for his official debut. This is the 3rd time that a singer from 'Produce 101' has had a dispute with their company. First Kang Daniel filed for contract terminations with his agency LM Entertainment, and Samuel Kim also had a legal dispute with his agency Brave Entertainment.
Lai Guan Lin made his debut as a member of Wanna One after placing 7th in Season 2 of 'Produce 101' in 2017. After returning to his agency Cube Entertainment, he had unit activities with Pentagon's Woosuk and recently made his acting debut in China.
