Leaked CCTV of Jung-min and his friend A at a convenience store checkout is sparking controversy.

On the 7th, an article titled "Han River Medical student and friend A who look very friendly on newly released CCTV" was posted in an online community. The author made a short gif of Jung-min and his friend A visiting a convenience store together from a clip released by YouTuber 'Paper TV' on the 6th.

The CCTV capture shows Jung-min and A at a convenience store at 12:45am, the same day Jung-min disappeared, and shows the two standing at a checkout line to pay for a bottle of soju and makgeolli. The two hold hands and A is seen hugging Jung-min and stroking his shoulders. Not only that, Jung-min also brushes off A's jacket and A hands over the soju and makgeolli he's holding.

But the reactions of netizens who saw the video was remarkably different. Netizens commented, "they look like real close friends. If they weren't, they wouldn't touch each other in that manner. It's a pity that the two were so close from reading Jung-min's katalks. Would A intentionally kill a friend while wearing a jacket with his department's name written on it? They were also on good terms?"

However, other netizens retorted, "Jung-min seems to just match his friend. I get the feeling the friend feels inferior to Jung-min? The shaking of hands seems like an act of reconciliation after a fight. I think the friend A probably pissed off Jung-min so he's just acting like he's kind and nice on purpose because he knew he was on CCTV. It looks like a calculated act."

The YouTuber that released the video also questioned why A didn't have his bag that contained his laptop and iPad at 12:45am at convenience store when he was caught on another store CCTV at 11:14pm with it. The YouTuber stated, "There were expensive things in that bag but he's seen at the convenience store at 12:45am without it? No one would leave valuables like that at Han River unless they entrusted it to someone they knew and trusted."

  1. [+4,973, -1,092] So close that he didn't pay condolences and threw away anything that could be evidence? If they were that close, why hire a lawyer so quickly and assert his legal rights?
  2. [+2,286, -430] Looking at this video they seem friendly. However, if you look at another convenience store CCTV that was released before this, another man in a white T-shirt that seems to be A's friend is seen looking at Jung-min's phone and he's caught in another shot trying to avoid the camera and immediately starts a call. The man in the T-shirt seems pissed and looks around and swipes his head. Don't just watch this clip, watch all other clips too.
  3. [+1628, -289] So close and yet his other high school friends stayed at the funeral home for 4 days and he made an appearance at dawn like a stray cat when everyone else was asleep. Didn't even bring his relatives along for a visit this timeㅋㅋㅋㅋ
  4. [+1411, -231] ?? How is this a man in a blacked out stateㅋㅋ? If he was even remotely drunk he wouldn't be joking around. He seems to even take care of Jung-min really well..
  5. [+874, -35] What a good memory this would've been if Jung-min hadn't ended up dead..
  6. [+271, -8] Who cares whether or not they were close at this moment. If what happened to Jung-min was an accident, why not call Jung-min's parents right away and explain the situation? Why throw away his shoes and clothes? Why didn't he pay condolences right away? Why hire a lawyer so quickly that night and try to distance himself? Why take Jung-min's phone and say he lost his phone? Couldn't he have tried to call to find it? Why did he call up his parents and relatives to the scene without alerting Jung-min's parents first? Was he trying to clean up the crime scene?
  7. [+259, -4] Release Moonlight Park CCTV
  8. [+257, -12] When a close friend passes out and looks like he's dead, his house is only 5 minutes away, why not let his parents know or call 112 or 119??? My heart hurts just thinking about his family receiving that call in the middle of the night..
  9. [+117, -4] Stop showing clips and public opinion. Are police doing the investigation properly and is an independent third party looking into the missing bag with his iPhone and iPad?
  10. [+43, -4] So there were 3 people there and not 2..? What happened to his bag??!
