"DALLA DALLA, Wannabe, Loco" all hit daebak, but this Cheshire comeback is a bit disappointing.

The music video came out better than Sneakers and their skills aren't bad either, but the song totally flopped on the charts. I don't think they'll be able to win any awards at the year-end shows either.

Seriously, what's up with this group?

  1. [+244, -16] I think their position has become ambiguous since the industry is so saturated with female idols.
  2. [+189, -17] To be honest, their performances aren't good and their songs are just bad. I also don't think it's possible for the agency to drum up buzz for the group since that often relies of noise marketing that can get severe. Sometimes its easier to just stay quiet and lets the kids promote comfortably. It's probably more convenient too. I mean look at Jang Wonyoung, she gets hit with malicious comments just for eating a strawberry. Jang Wonyoung definitely lives off the media play and buzz so when people hear her name they think she's popular. You have to have a strong mentality to sustain that otherwise it can get painful to be constantly subjected to all that hate.
  3. [+171, -23] Itzy are just nice kids and don't have the star quality to attract people. Just look at Yuna, her visuals alone are 'one-top' in 4th gen right now but strangely she doesn't attract much attention.
  4. [+132, -0] I agree 100% that their agency doesn't do any noise marketing. Also, them not doing any solo schedules also play a role. All the members are talented enough and capable of going solo but they're the only group that hasn't done solo activities this year. Even DJ'ing, anything is fine and a great way to self promote but they aren't allowed to do any promotion activities solo. This is more of a loss for the group than a gain. JYP really needs to change his mentality about this group.
  5. [+122, -0] Didn't sneakers do better than Loco?
  6. [+101, -8] Personally, I feel like their vocals are severely lackingã… ã… ã… . Of course their lives are fine and they have sharp choreo and all but their vocal skills are just so bad and their tone is sharp like they're screaming so it hurts my ears. Its sad because I have to wonder why JYP picked such vocalists and produced them like that.
  7. [+84, -5] From a muggle's point of view, their songs are unpopular because they're not comfortable to listen to.
  8. [+76, -1] No other reason is needed, the song is trash.
  9. [+68, -1] From IVE, New Jeans, Le Sserafim, their songs and concepts are original and their music is good so they stand out in a crowd. As for Itzy, their concept isn't new, unusual or different and their music is not good so they stand out less and less each comeback. I'm seeing the same with STAYC too. Them and aespa should come out with a really good song next comeback to drum up some competition.
  10. [+52, -6] I thought their comeback this time would be better after sneakers but the song is just bad, bland, boring and has no personality.
  11. [+50, -65] Just because they're not topping charts doesn't mean they're a flop group.
  12. [+40, -4] All of JYP is a flop now. Park Jin-young cares more about dancing with other girl groups than fixing his own.
